my friends and i are from multicultural backgrounds so dating different ethnicities is not a big deal - and it's not like racial differences, which is more jarring. our cultures are all pretty similar (confucian values) and i mean this is 2014, not 1914 and this isn't a a isolated incident bc other waiters/waitresses have expressed the same sentiments lol...

okay... but even in 2014 people can be narrowminded when it comes to interethnic relationships, that's just something you have to expect when you date outside of your culture, sorry to say

i guess the thing i don't understand is that it's not even interracial, but interethnic so the differences aren't even that jarring. i feel there's also that racial element because no one is shocked per se if it's a koran/white person but it makes a difference because i'm sea
