it's funny i was thinking about this earlier
i think visuals in groups make everyone else look worse in comparison and my theory is that because 'the visual' of the group was selected purely for their looks and generally no other merit based reason that they're in like the top 5% of good looking aspiring idols and idk there are only so many people who want to be idols, let alone ones who can sing

and i think it mostly applies to boygroups, as for girlgroups the singers have to be pretty too
