with adults idr want to know what they're thinking, bc lbr it's usually mundane or shitty, and if you can read facial expressions and body language, you're usually good to go

but with babies and animals, it's harder to figure out what they're thinking or why they react the way they do to some things, so it'd be useful to just get into their minds and be like, ah okay, they're tired, or they're hungry, or they want to play
